Weed Harvesting for the week of June 22, 2026

Aquatic Weed Harvesting Season is underway!

Pier pickups are scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays weekly. (weather permitting)

Please have weeds on the END of piers as our barge cannot fit into tight spaces. Please have lake weeds only on the end of the pier for collection. Our drop site will NOT accept other yard waste like branches, leaves, and root balls.

Also, the crew is out early in the morning, so you may want to have weeds ready Thursday and Monday evenings.

Of course, weather may change our schedule and we are training some new seasonal workers, so please keep that in mind. Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated.

More information including the current Harvesting Permit and Aquatic Plant Management Plan can be found here:

Please leave a message at 262-629-9322 or [email protected] if you have a swim raft that can be moved for the harvester to access if permitted by the permit, so that we may contact you prior to harvesting.

Please do NOT make requests to the harvester operators or barge crew. The BCLPRD has a NEW Operations Manager (May, 2026) that will be working directly with the summer crew and will address any concerns that residents may have.
The Aquatic Weed Harvesting Supervisor/Operations Manager can be contacted at [email protected]

The Lake District's current Aquatic Plant Management Plan and Mechanical Harvesting Permit was issued in 2024 and is valid through December 31, 2028. The Mechanical Harvesting Permit is applied for in 5-year terms, and some of the parameters and guidance may change within each term, based on recommendations that the Southeast WI Regional Planning Commission determines from studies done on the lake.

Our harvesting operations vary day to day. As much as we would like to share a schedule, Mother Nature determines when we can safely carry out those operations. Thank you for your understanding.
