The comprehensive plan studies are designed to provide the Big Cedar Lake PRD with a comprehensive array of information to help improve its understanding of factors that must be considered to make efficient and effective lake management decisions. The information will assist the BCL PRD and its partners to promote actions that help achieve water quality, lake and stream health, recreational, and ecological resilience goals and desires. The major factors examined as part of the studies are:
- Lake Water Quality
- Shoreline Condition
- Recreational Use
The most recent studies are outlined in the 2024 and 2025 Comprehensive Plan Scope documents. A similar study was completed over twenty years ago, which can be reviewed in the 2001 Comprehensive Plan document.
The current studies will be completed in 2025, with the findings and recommendations to the PRD by 2026. More information will be provided as the studies are completed.
