Harvesting and Pier pickups after Labor Day Holiday Weekend
HARVESTING UPDATE
The last scheduled pier pickup was scheduled for Monday, August 31.
Our Barge Crew is no longer available weekdays due to returning to school.
The week prior to the holiday weekend, we were able to have one of our crew members out on Tuesday, September 1 and Friday, September 4 to provide pier pickups. Thank you Owen!
For the week following the Labor Day Holiday we are planning to provide pier pickups this afternoon (Tuesday, September 8 after 3pm), and possibly an additional pickup later this week (info will be shared once confirmed)
The harvester operators will continue to harvest specific areas on the lake, along with skimming and backflushing the floating celery/eel grass prominant on the north end of the lake late in the summer.
For the remainder of September, while we continue to remove the celery/eelgrass, we will be putting together some dates for pier pickups in the afternoon. This will depend on availability of the crew and also how late we can be on the water. (the barge has no lights)
Please leave a message at the District Office 262-629-9322 with your address and contact information with any questions or comments regarding harvesting that you would like to share. Calls will be returned as soon as possible.
